  • As Business Development Manager focuses on the Drug Product (DP) part of the Carbogen Amcis business, you will work in close collaboration with the Head of Business Development, Drug Product.  
    You will define and implement the best strategy to capture new clients within your geographical area and new projects to fill the development labs and the GMP and non-GMP manufacturing lines.  
    You will carry out prospecting activities, diligently recording these activities and your progress to approach new clients.  


    You will build a robust, future-looking pipeline of DP projects and, with the support of the highly skilled DP team, work to close these projects.  
    You will effectively balance your daily activities between prospecting and working to progress your pipeline of sales opportunities.  
    You will actively participate in all sales team meetings and work proactively with the wider DS sales team.  


    You will report progress, market news and information to the Head of Business Development, Drug Product and have a regular 121 to discuss your prospects, sales pipeline and customers.  
    All with the aim of hitting (or exceeding) sales target. The travel requirement for this role is 50%, or in line with the requirements of the business at that time. 

  • Your responsibilities: 
     
    As Business Development Manager you will: 
     

    • Build, progress and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities 
    • Effectively and diligently prospect for new customers 
    • Take ownership of the Sales Process as you progress each opportunity 
    • Use all available tools to record and monitor progress 
    • Identify Key Accounts and develop a strategy for each 
    • Be the main commercial point of contact for each customer in your territory 
    • Collaborate with internal teams 
    • Be the face of Carbogen-Amcis and represent the company in a positive manner always maintaining a high level of professionalism. 

      You will attend:  

    • Conferences, networking events and other industry events
    • Sales meetings, team meetings, 121’s and training courses
    • Meeting with new and existing customers to grow the business   

     

    You will have responsibility for:  

    • Keeping reporting tools up to date and communicating major changes to the Head of Business Development 
    • Negotiating CDA’s, Supply Agreements and price increases
    • Management of your travel and expenses in line with company expectations and budget, submitting expenses on time and in full. 

     

    ​Your Profile: 

    • ​At least 5-7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or life science sectors
    • ​Experience of sales in a highly competitive environment
    • ​Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
    • ​Work effectively in a multi-functional and multi-cultural team
    • ​Fluent in German and English
