  • The Human Resources (HR) department focuses on people and organizational culture by developing and applying the right HR tools to achieve business objectives. The department works closely with the other departments to ensure that culture, personnel policies, and HR strategies are well aligned with business goals.

    The HR Director is part of the Management Team (MT) and leads the HR department. The position provides input to the company’s strategy and, together with the other MT members, is jointly responsible for achieving the vision, strategy, and objectives. The role is also part of the global HR team and contributes to global projects such as performance management, Employee engagement, Success Factors etc. The position acts as an advisor to fellow MT members and collaborates with and supports the VP BU in relation to the Works Council (OR). 

    The HR Director is responsible for managing the HR Lifecyle and the day-to-day operational HR tasks together with the HR Officer.
    Communication takes place in both Dutch and English.

    • Reports to: VP BU
    • Direct reports: 1 FTE (HR Officer)

    Purpose of the Role

    To develop and implement HR strategies and policies that foster a positive organizational culture, ensure the effectiveness of HR processes, and guarantee compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities and Expected Results:

    Contribution to Strategic Plans / Organizational Policy

    • Contribute expertise to the development of organizational strategy and policy. Advise MT on strategic HR matters.
    • Provide advice and support to management and employees on HR-related issues.
    • Inform, apply, explain, and execute HR policies and procedures.
    • Address HR-related queries.
    • People and Culture
    • Promote company policies and culture throughout the organization.
    • Support talent development and succession planning with department managers.
    • Develop and implement training programs.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive culture.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor employee engagement initiatives.
    • Recruitment
    • Lead recruitment process

    HR Tools and Systems

    • Be part of the global digitalization with the implementation of HR modules in Success Factors.
    • Optimize HR processes and systems.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient HR administration.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
    • Collaborate with and support the Works Council.

    Program and Project Management

    • Initiate and participate in local and global projects.

    Leadership & HR Analytics

    • Provide with relevant HR report or HR KPIs as per the BU and Group’s expectations.
    • Handle personnel matters such as time reporting, leave, and absence.
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding

    Knowledge and Experience Requirements

    • Education / Work Level
    • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree level
    • Degree in HRM / Business Administration
    • Several years of experience in a similar role
    • Empathetic, problem-solving oriented, pragmatic, open-minded, proactive, people-oriented
    • Strong command of the Dutch and English Language
