Project Management

Fundamental to project success

Every project is unique, with time and budget boundaries and with often more than one objective. The key to meeting these challenges is to have a strong, risk-managed plan in order to consolidate the required resources, at the appropriate moment to meet goals and to manage progress against that plan; ensuring that any required re-working is planned rapidly and effectively. At CARBOGEN AMCIS, we inherently understand the pivotal role that project management plays in any success.

We have a dedicated team of experienced Project Managers, operating within the organization. Split in to two groups, one team focusses upon development projects up to phase III and the other team is dedicated to Commercial Product Management. Our teams are the focal point for overall project management but also have the skills and ability to ensure that communication between technical teams is not impaired by cumbersome 'traditional' project management theories and practices. We work to an effective, tailored experienced project management process, focused on understanding and then addressing our customers' needs:

Personal and 'human' interaction and collaboration

  • Project review
  • Timeline adaptability
  • Tailored and efficient communication tools
  • Customized solutions

We have dedicated teams, offering true commitment and availability for a close collaboration, with all project data being secure and accessible via SharePoint 24/7.

I really enjoy being the interface between customers and internal teams at CARBOGEN AMCIS: internal and external communication is crucial for project success. Our highly experienced co-workers and management implication make us a reliable and sustainable partner.

Stability Studies

ICH Stability Studies and Integrated Analytical Services

Through many years of experience being the API development partner of choice, CARBOGEN AMCIS has a deep and wide understanding of the critical need to perform stability studies as well as forced degradation studies to support drug development.

We have the experience and capability to assess drug storage or shipment conditions, expiration date, and packaging. These studies provide a thorough understanding of the chemical behavior, degradation pathways and the intrinsic stability of a new molecule.

Stability studies are part of a large number of different projects; the possibility of performing analytical work with different molecules and the discovery of their features is a very interesting part of my work.

Katja - Chemist QC&A, Neuland

Integrated Analytical Services

Our stability studies are performed in fully cGMP validated and mapped stability chambers, which operate at ICH conditions (25°C/60% RH, 30°C/65% RH, 30°C/75% RH and 40°C/75% RH) and at low temperatures (5°C, -20°C and -80°C). Our forced degradation studies encompass stress testing under acid or alkaline conditions, oxidative stress testing and photostability studies. Based on the innovator’s specific needs, we can develop and tailor stability studies, as well as forced degradation tests, at any stage of the drug development.

  • The physico-chemical characterization of the API
  • The selection of the best crystalline forms and definition of the stability profile of the material

We routinely provide Comprehensive pre-formulation work, integrated analytical and solid state services developed to provide critical information to inform on the optimal formulation strategy of drug substances, in both solution and solid states.

  • Feasibility and pilot studies for dispensing microdosing and particle size distribution
  • Bioavailability studies: dissolution, disintegration testing and solubility testing (simulation in physiological conditions)
