In 2007, CARBOGEN AMCIS Ltd. was created with the integration of partner company SynProTec DCR, a custom synthesis company owned by Dishman Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Ltd., the same parent company as CARBOGEN AMCIS. The Manchester site specializes in process research and custom synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates. The larger production capacity (up to 4,500 L) allows the efficient production of early-phase APIs and large-scale intermediates. The facility employs 30 staff members.
